It was 1997 when Cong. Victor R. Sumulong, with his wife, the late Michelle Jalandoni-Sumulong, found it necessary to put up a computer school were Antipolo residents and its neighboring towns can be educated with the booming Information Technology. Therefore, STI Educational Center- Antipolo was established on April 15, 1997. Located at Mia Mall, ML. Quezon, St. Ext., Antipolo, the public's response to "the first computer school in Antipolo" was unexpected. More or less 581 young and young-at-hearts enrolled in different offered courses. It was Qprog - 1 1/2 years course, ComSec 2 years, and ComTech - 2 years. They also offered Coprog, a special course for the working professionals. Not sooner, STI Educational Center - Antipolo has advanced to STI College Antipolo on 2002. To comply with the CHED's requirements, the administration has built a self - owned building behind the Lores Executive Homes at the same address. Another two degree holding courses were offered Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. It was a two-storey building, on the ground floor was the Computer Laboratory, Lecture's Room, Faculty Room, Registrar's Office, Administrator's Office and Cashier's Office. On the second floor was the Library, Lecture's Room, Physics Laboratory, Physical Education Room and the Clinic. Part of the CHED requirements is the college should have bigger library with more reference materials. So the Administrator, Mrs. Amalia A. Engalla, and the CEO/Accountant, Mrs. Sally Guevarra, has subsequent acquisition of different books. To date, there are more or less 1,750 books, of different titles.
